SOUTH HOBART

Sash Solutions were recently contacted by Top Deck builders who were midway through a project of restoring a beautiful early 1800,s home in South Hobart. Luke the top deck foreman and his team had done a fantastic job of restoring and renovating this magnificent sand-stone convict building.
Sash Solutions were called in to manage the restoration of the windows and doors.
This Particular job required us to use all of our heritage carpentry knowledge and experience, many of the windows had been neglected over the years and were in much need of repair. Although a lot of the original components of the windows had stood the test of time some were broken or missing as a result of over 100+ years of operation.
We matched like for like timbers in our repair work and discreetly hid our draught seals maintaining the integrity of the windows. We bought the windows back to their former glory ready to bring joy to many more generations.
We look forward to working along side top deck builders on their next project.

BROADMARSH

Sash Solutions worked this week at a beautiful remote location in Broadmarsh. The Owners Tanya and Robert invested in 6 salvaged sash windows and four salvaged Tasmanian oak doors to incorporate into their newly built sunroom.
Tanya and Robert want to capture as much natural light and warmth as possible into their sunroom and ensure its not lost back out through the sashes and doors.
Sash Solutions went to work, repairing the old sashes and upgrading the glass to a much more energy efficient smart glass. This particular glass allows heat and light to travel through from the outside capturing it and blocking its escape when the outside temperature drops, dramatically reducing heating costs year-round.
Our team hand-made Australian red cedar frames for sashes and doors and machined draught seals into the newly operating double doors.
All in a week's work for our highly skilled Sash Solutions team.

HARTZ VIEW WINERY

Sash Solutions has just completed a notable window restoration job at Hartz View Winery.

Hartz View Winery is situated in Gardeners Bay southern Tasmania. Its beautiful views of the Hartz mountain range at times expose it to the tough Tasmanian conditions. Bob and Anthea built Hartz View Winery together some 40years ago and have established themselves as high quality wine makers. Unfortunately, their cherished cedar windows were in much need of draught sealing and an upgrade of glass. Bob and Anthea were extremely reluctant to replace their windows and sought the expertise of Sash Solutions.

“Following a very positive Facebook testimonial post we contacted Dean and Phil from Sash Solutions. Our 40-year-old western red cedar windows and doors were in great need of an upgrade. Our family home was suffering from great heat loss and draughty, poorly functioning windows.

We are extremely pleased we never decided to double glaze our windows as Dean and Phil from Sash Solutions upgraded our old glass and installed high end draught seals to our windows which exceeded our expectations. Sash Solutions offer a great service and attention to detail, I would highly recommend their services."
